I'm Dr Megan Melo and I am a Recovering Perfectionist.
I'm a dual board-certified Family and Obesity Medicine Physician and a Certified Life Coach for Physicians and Allied Health Professionals. For years, I was drowning in burnout, perfectionism, and people-pleasing, but unaware of the connections between these 3 entities. I'm in recovery now, and now I also work with other Physicians and Health Professionals to helm them get unstuck from feelings of burnout and overwhelm, let go of toxic perfectionism and people-pleasing in order to build happier, healthier lives.
When we start coaching, most of my clients want to leave their jobs; like yesterday. But most stay, and find that they reclaim their lives by fixing patterns that were ingrained in them during their training (or even before). Some move on to new positions, but they do so with the freedom and clarity to make the right decisions for them, and the confidence to say "no" to things that don't align with their desires.
The truth is our medical systems are broken. But you don't have to wait for them to be fixed to feel better. Healing burnout and perfectionism requires you to do one thing right now; to decide that you are going to make a change. And then you seek out the help that you need to move forward.
Coaching changed my life. If you are ready to change yours, let's talk. Click the link below to register for your free 1:1 call with me. We'll connect about what is going on in your life, and how to move forward.
You are too important to ignore any longer. And you don't have to do this alone.

About Me
I'm Megan Melo, and I am a Physician, Certified Life Coach and Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (that means I am certified in Brené Brown's work on shame, vulnerability, perfectionism, etc). I live in Seattle, WA with my husband and 2 children. I love to cook and play board games.
I was on the verge of burn out when I started working with Megan. Between patient visits, emails, refill requests, charting, etc. I found myself over-worked, over-stretched, and overwhelmed. I had been working for 2 years at the same clinic and felt alone and disconnected. I needed to find joy in practicing medicine again.
Megan is a fantastic coach. She is a great listener, empathetic, and helped me to better understand myself. Practicing medicine is hard, but I learned some valuable skills to improve my practice, find more joy in what I do, and now feel better connected to my patients and colleagues.

You are fully capable of amazing changes, and most likely, you know what you need and want to do, but have no idea how to APPLY it (outside of the usual beating-yourself-up-thing that many of us do).
That's where I come in. We work together to identify what needs to change and the HOW to make it happen. Not just the steps, but how to implement, how to believe it, how to make changes stick.
Coaching with me can help you:
- Set and maintain healthy boundaries
- Develop self-compassion and self-kindness
- Improve your effectiveness (not just your efficiency)
- Stop numbing habits (overeating, overdrinking, overscrolling, overworking, over-charting
- Stop people-pleasing and put yourself first for a change. YOU are the asset.
- Let go of perfectionism
